Position Summary:
The HVAC Apprentice is an entry-level position designed for individuals looking to build a career in the HVAC industry. Under the supervision of experienced HVAC technicians, apprentices assist with installations, maintenance, and repairs in residential settings. This role provides structured training to develop the skills needed to become a full-time technician.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist HVAC technicians with installations, repairs, servicing, and maintenance of HVAC systems, including heating, air conditioning, and ventilation.
- Learn and apply technical skills, including reading blueprints, using hand and power tools, troubleshooting, and diagnosing system issues.
- Perform routine maintenance such as filter replacements, thermostat adjustments, and electrical component inspections.
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to job site procedures.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are cleaned, organized, and in proper working condition.
- Learn and comply with local, state, and federal HVAC codes and regulations.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills.
- Assist with customer service by addressing homeowner questions and providing basic information about HVAC systems.
- Follow company policies and procedures, including attendance, punctuality, and professionalism.
