JOB SUMMARY:
The Construction Foreman oversees and coordinates the work of the construction crew on various construction projects. This role requires a hands-on leader with extensive experience in construction, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manage the project to include interaction with clients and other trades.
Manage project documentation to include submittals and specifications.
Mentoring and development of direct reports.
Maintain clear and effective communications with project manager and subcontractors.
Assign tasks to construction workers and ensure they are completed efficiently and to quality standards.
QA/QC Adherence.
Provide input during the preplanning phase of the project.
Proactive material management.
Complete field material takeoff.
Manage daily and weekly reporting.
Lead effective daily meetings.
Participate in manpower projection.
Monitor the progress of construction activities to ensure they adhere to project schedules.
Coordinate any prefabrication work that is required for the project.
Tool Management.
Assist in planning construction projects, including resource allocation, scheduling, and material procurement.
Site/laydown housekeeping and organization.
Enforce safety protocols and ensure all workers adhere to safety regulations.
Employee monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annual reviews.
Attending all necessary internal and external meetings.
Participate in efficient project closeout.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Must have successfully managed projects that finished on budget.
Microsoft Office Suite experience.
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Complete knowledge of the mechanical &/or plumbing code/trade.
Strong leadership skills.
Working knowledge of Trimble and CAD.
Able to lift 50lbs.
Able to stand, walk, and squat for long periods of time.
Working in extreme weather
Able to stand, walk and squat for long periods of time.
Work at various heights above floor with ladder, scaffold, and manlift.
Must be able to work in excavated trenches.
Valid AZ Drivers License.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Four years of construction experience in respected trade.
LICENSES/SPECIAL TRAINING:
OSHA 10
OSHA 30 (preferred)
Journeymans license or equivalent years of service

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is required to sit, stand, walk; use hands to manipulate, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
