Start-up Service Technician

JOB SUMMARY: The Start Up Technician will perform start up and repair of heating, air conditioning, and ventilation equipment, as well as other products in accordance with company requirements and manufacturer specifications for our commercial service department with new construction. The start-up technician will support completed construction with required warranty calls.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Take direction from Service Manager and perform assigned tasks in a professional, safe, and timely manner.
• Responsible for the safe operation of company owned service vehicles and to ensure the vehicle is cleaned regularly.
• Responsible for the completion of service calls/projects and ensuring customer satisfaction with completed work.
• Complete all documentation needed on a per job basis (T&M slips, test reports, daily reports)
• Communicate clearly and effectively with customers, vendors, and administrative personnel.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and system problems.
• Conduct detailed inspections and tests on products.
• Handle customer warranty claims.
• Maintain detailed records of warranty claims
.

• Cooling Towers
• DX Equipment
• Pumps
• Package Units
• VAV-FPB
• DOA's-OSA's

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Able to lift 50lbs
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Work outside in extreme weather.
• Able to stand, walk and squat for long periods of time.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software to identify and troubleshoot product issues.
• Familiarity with specific industry and products.

• High level of accuracy in performance inspections and start-ups.
• Continuous commitment to staying updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of construction Start-Up service technician experience
• Valid AZ Driver’s License.
• Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.
• Ability to manage multiple claims and tasks simultaneously, maintaining accurate records and meeting deadlines.
• Proficiency in creating and maintaining technical documentation, including inspection reports and repair logs.
• Ability to manage multiple service tasks while maintaining accurate records.
