SUMMARY: As a Dashboard Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI. This role requires a strong understanding of data visualization, data analysis, and business intelligence to deliver actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and deploy interactive and visually compelling dashboards and reports using Power BI, ensuring they meet the needs of various stakeholders
• Data Integration: Connect and integrate data from multiple sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and cloud services, into Power BI for comprehensive analysis and visualization
• Data Modeling: Create and maintain data models, develop DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) measures, and perform data transformations to ensure accurate and efficient reporting
• User Requirements: Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to gather and understand their reporting and analytical requirements, translating them into effective Power BI solutions
• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of Power BI reports and dashboards to ensure responsiveness and scalability
• Data Quality: Ensure data accuracy and consistency by implementing validation and quality checks in the data integration and reporting processes
• Documentation: Document dashboard designs, data models, and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintainability
• Training & Support: Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI tools and best practices, assisting them in leveraging dashboards and reports effectively
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with Power BI updates, new features, and industry trends to continuously enhance dashboard capabilities and drive innovation

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in developing dashboards and reports using Power BI

• Proficiency in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
• Strong knowledge of DAX and Power Query
• Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and SQL
• Familiarity with data visualization best practices and principles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and present complex data insights clearly
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively

PREFERRED QUALIFICTIONS:

• Experience with Power BI Report Server or Power BI Embedded
• Knowledge of MS SharePoint, and Azure Data Factory
• Understanding of advanced analytics and machine learning concepts as they relate to Power BI

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
• Ability to travel to various divisions and worksites as needed
